Samuel will graduate from university on 21.6.2021.
As far back as I can remember, I wanted to be involved with the theatre and stage. At the age of five I joined my Aunts dance school and appeared on theatres as part of "Freeman Dance" troupe. It was with Freeman Dance I was involved in many high profile shows, performing at "Birmingham Town Hall", "Godiva Festival" main sttage, and even "The Royal Albert Hall."
In 2012 I was part of the Olympic torch parade and performed on stage along with the handover of the torch relay.
I even got to hold the torch.
I also studied Fencing and gained, Bronze, Silver and Gold awards and certification.
I competed in the national finals reaching the semi finals.
I studied U.A.L (University of Arts London) Acting at Stratford College, Warwickshire. From 2014 - 2016, where I was included in the celebration of William Shakespeares 400 birthday. The college was invited to join the R.S.C to celebrate which lead to myself appearing at the R.S.C, Swan Theatre, in ....... and also performing Much a do about nothing as part of the R.S.C street performances.
In 2017 I started work for Caludon Castle School in the tech department for the Drama and Music depts.
Having gained some expierance working in tech with The Band, The Subterraneans and Hazel 0'Connor as a roadie I wanted to learn more skills in sound and lighting along with stage hand work. I assisted in teaching along with setting up all the tech for the school performances.
During this time on a school visit to Falmouth university with the six form. I was introduced to the Theatre Acting dept at Falmouth University. I applied for a position on the Theatre and Performance course in which I studied for threee years and was awarded a ...... B.A Degree.
I will be concluding my university BA(Hons) degree in Theatre & Performance with a final duologue performance with Toby Vince in May 2021
Once I finish my last performance in university, I have been selected along with Emily King to perform on the 2021 Digital Showcase for the Academy of Music & Theatre Arts (AMATA). This is performed by third year graduating BA(Hons) Acting and BA(Hons) Theatre & Performance students collectively. Filming will start late May 2021 and finishes in June 2021, to be a broadcasted showreel later in the year.
I am also currently awaiting a new date for a postponed acting role, from 2020, in a short film by Ophelia Van Wijmeersch which was to be filmed in Falmouth. This is still possible for me to take part in as I am planning on staying in my accommodation until September 2021.
In the meantime, I have booked studio time in Brighton Film Studios, with a contact that I have, to put together a up to date showreel of my acting skills and to add to my showreel page on my website. This will be taking place in July/August 2021
Also, I plan to work along with Annso Süßmann during July/August 2021 on a short production that we will be performing together.
My accommodation in Falmouth runs out in September 2021. I shall be looking for work locally to fund myself from September onwards. I have signed up with the university job news in Falmouth, (jobs.falmouth.ac.uk) in case there are any openings for a post graduate student, as this option would allow me to continue to apply for agencies nationally, whilst staying in my current location. Agencies I have currently sent my website and CV out to are, Ruth Young United Agents London and Red Talent Management. If there are no opportunities within Falmouth university, I shall also enquire at Princess Pavilion Falmouth, The Poly/Falmouth Arts Centre, or Falmouth Theatre Co. for any part time work.
Failing this I will draw upon my experience in Bar & Catering work, to help fund my current accommodation in my location which again allows me to seek out opportunities.
Also, towards the later part of this year, I will be applying for theatre work more regionally Cornwall and Devon area, to pantomimes for stagehand, behind the scenes or if available chorus work.
At some stage I would like to think I could afford to take a one-year course in Acting Development, whether that be in Falmouth or London. At present this is not possible due to funding.
